Mr. Torres is a graduate of Saint Martin’s University in Olympia, Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a minor in Marine Biology and holds two Associate Degrees; one in Computer Programming from Knapp Business College in Tacoma, Washington and another in Accounting and Finance from Fort Steilacoom Community College located in Lakewood, Washington. He graduated from all three colleges while serving on active military duty with the US Army.
Mr. Torres graduated from US Army Leadership Academies while on active military duty including the Basic Leadership Course, the Primary Non-Commissioned Officer’s Course, the Basic Non-Commissioned Officer’s Course and the Advanced Non-Commissioned Officer’s Course. He is also a graduate of the US Army John F. Kennedy (JFK) Special Warfare Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he earned the Green Beret and the Special Forces Tab and graduated from US Army Field Artillery School in Lawton, Oklahoma where he earned the Field Artillery and the Forward Observer specialty designations.
Mr. Torres also graduated from the US Army Jumpmaster School and the US Army Paratrooper School in Fort Benning, Georgia where he earned the Jumpmaster Badge and the Parachutist Badge; he additionally earned Parachutist Badges from the countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay while serving with Special Operations Command – South (SOCSOUTH) formerly located in Puerto Rico. He is also a graduate of the US Army Chemical, Biological and Radiological (CBR) School in Fort Lewis, Washington where he earned the duty designation of CBR NCO in order to prepare his unit to defend attacks from Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD). As a Special Forces soldier, Mr. Torres graduated from the Scout Sniper School in Camp Robinson, Arkansas where he earned the “Top Gun Award”; graduated from the Advanced Rock-Climbing Course outside of Ellensburg, Washington; and successfully completed multiple Combat Lifesaver Courses throughout his military career. Mr. Torres is a certified Firefighter and Multi-Media First Aid Technician and graduated from these courses which were provided by the State of Washington and the Federal Way Fire Department in Federal Way, Washington.
