Under Mr. Torres’ leadership, Torres AES successfully protected and defended US and ally Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), Camps, Combat Outposts (COPs) Joint Security Stations (JSSs), Airfields, Airbases, Embassies and Consulates against small arms, rocket and mortar attacks, detonated improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD).
Torres AES’ security professionals have rescued US and foreign police and civilians during assaults and attempted and actual kidnappings; maintained order at a US Embassy during a violent attempted coup d’etat; administered lifesaving emergency first aid to US diplomatic, military and civilian personnel; aided in solving high-profile terrorist, organized crime network and organized gang criminal cases; replaced nearly an entire US Embassy guard force of approximately 180 personnel within 24 hours of its threat to strike against the embassy; protected close US allies across the globe such as the embassies of Australia, Brazil, Canada, the European Union, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, the Vatican and numerous others; and protected the United Nations (UN) and NGOs such as Red Cross/Red Crescent, the Catholic Relief Fund and Doctors without Borders in high-threat regions of the world including Burundi, Somalia, Sierra Leone, Uganda, Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan.
Torres AES’ Physical Security Division also provided security and protective services for US Special Operations Forces (SOF) and Conventional Forces including Green Beret, SEAL, Ranger and Air Force Special Operations at 32 Forward Operating Bases (FOBs), Combat Outposts (COPs), Camps, Air Bases, Airfields and Joint Security Stations (JSSs) consisting of approximately 5,800 Torres AES security force personnel in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kurdistan, Kyrgyzstan, Colombia, the Philippians, El Salvador, Romania, Kosovo, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Uganda. This division also provided security and protective services for 24 US Embassies, Consulates and facilities in Pakistan, Iraq, Jordan, Uganda, Burundi, Zambia, Mozambique, Finland, Slovakia, Argentina, Curacao, Panama, Paraguay and Peru consisting of approximately 6,000 US and Host Nation security force professionals. As part of their duties, the Torres AES security teams integrated with the US Secret Service (USSS), the US Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) and Host Nation police forces to protect three US Presidents, three US Vice Presidents, and numerous US Ambassadors and members of Congress, and Prime Ministers and Ministers of friendly foreign nations.
The Physical Security Division also delivered Background Investigation and Security Screening Services for the US Department of State (DoS), the US Department of Defense (DoD) and the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Colombia, and for the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) in Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) completing over 120,000 background investigations over a five year period.
Torres AES’s Training Division is universally respected for delivering comprehensive training that results in quantifiable advancements in the capabilities of US and foreign defense, intelligence, law enforcement and judicial organizations. Noteworthy among Torres AES’ training programs are the Cyber Forensics solutions, systems and training under US Embassy programs for three South American countries, ultimately leading to the identification and prosecution of transnational organized crime networks, terrorist groups and organized gangs. These include the successful prosecution of several high-profile transnational cases including illegal drug, weapons, contraband and human trafficking, clandestine drug labs, money laundering, and kidnapping and extortion rings. From 2017 through 2019, Torres AES trained Host Nation judges, prosecutors and investigators, and police and security officers from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Peru, Panama and the United States in the following: Transnational Organized Crime, Organized Gang and Terrorist Groups; Criminal Investigations; Anti-Money Laundering and Asset Forfeiture; Illegal Drug, Human, Weapons and Contraband Trafficking; Cyber Forensics; Clandestine Drug Lab Identification and Investigations; and Airport Security, K-9 Operations and Prison Operations in support of US Department of State (DoS), US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and US Department of Justice (DoJ) Counter-Terrorism, Counter-Drug, Anti-Organized Crime and Anti-Gang Operations.
From 2008 through 2014, the Torres AES Training Division trained over 120,000 deploying US Army, Air Force and Navy troops at the US Army Counterinsurgency Directorates in Fort Riley, Kansas and Fort Polk, Louisiana in Counterinsurgency, Counterterrorism, Information Operations (IO), Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE), High-Risk Isolation (HRI), Biometrics, Combatives (Hand-to-Hand Combat), Cultural Awareness (CA), and additional deployment-specific courses in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), and additional High-Threat deployments to US Combatant Command Areas of Responsibility (AORs). Torres AES and its instructors received numerous awards from the US Army Counterinsurgency Directorate Training Academies in Fort Riley, Kansas and Fort Polk, Louisiana for “Training Excellence” and from the many individual units that deployed in service of the United States.
Torres AES’s Linguist Services Division delivered Linguists under Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (OFS); to the US Joint Task Force in Guantanamo Bay Cuba; and to US Embassies in high threat regions of the world. For example, this division delivered more than 1,200 US Top Secret and Secret cleared Linguists, Bi-Lingual Advisors and Language Instructors with Advanced Degrees in support of US Special Operations and Conventional Forces in Asia, Africa, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean. Torres AES Linguists routinely interpreted and translated for Presidents, Vice Presidents, US Military Flag and General Officers, US Ambassadors and Diplomats, members of Congress and front-line troops while in combat.
