Public Speaking in Law Enforcement, Security, Business and Transnational Partnerships

Mr. Torres is a frequent guest lecturer and speaker at US and foreign government, and business and technology conferences, conventions and symposiums covering a wide range of topics related to law enforcement, intelligence, defense, counterterrorism, counterinsurgency, cyber forensics, cyber security, physical security, human rights and business and technology.  For example, Mr. Torres was a guest speaker at the first ever Veteran’s Presidential Inauguration Ball in 2005 and received the US Veteran’s “Sportsman of the Year” award on behalf of the family of Pat Tillman who was previously killed in action in Afghanistan in 2004.  In 2006 and 2007, Mr. Torres was an expert guest speaker at two US government-sponsored counterterrorism and intelligence conferences with attendees from the US intelligence, defense and law enforcement communities and representatives of allied governments.  In 2015, he organized and led a cyber security conference in South America where members of the law enforcement, intelligence, diplomatic and armed forces communities from four nations attended, including from the United States.  Mr. Torres led four US delegations to the prestigious World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland from 2016 through 2019 where he delivered speeches on military cooperation to defeat terrorism as well as on diplomacy and transnational business partnerships. In 2017, Mr. Torres was a distinguished guest speaker at the largest security conference in the US—the ASIS Security Conference and Exposition, and in 2017 and 2018 he was the commencement speaker at several US Embassy-sponsored training programs including judicial, law enforcement, intelligence, cyber forensics and security courses where judges, prosecutors, investigators and security and intelligence professionals from three nations graduated.
